With goosebumps rising on her fair skin and a hand clutching her silver sword, California made her way through the woods. She knew that she needed to train more but has been slacking off. That's why the woods called her that night; she knew they would be full of monsters that she could fight. Cali moved through the woods cautiously, not quite sure of what she was going to run into. Cali knew a lot about protecting herself; she basically grew up alone in Washington D.C. Her mother had a high job in politics, working for some dude. California didn't pay much attention to her mother's work, it bored her half to death. So maybe it wasn't the the training that brought her out to the woods that night. Maybe, well maybe it was the thought that she had stuck in her hand. A few years back, her mother had originally told her that she can't take care of herself. Maybe Cali being out in the woods was just a way to prove that she could indeed take care of herself without any help. California sighed and placed her foot gently on a bush. However the bush rustled, way to loudly for her likely. She froze though heard a voice, "Who's there?" California slowly unfroze, it wasn't a monster, it was just a normal camper. She took a deep breath and stepped out into the clearing. "Me." She told him, crossing her arms over chest with her sword still out, just in case.

The camper eyed her, and California suddenly felt self conscious. For a second, he regarded her sword and put away his own. California tensed up. He wasn't going to hurt her, was he? She didn't know what to think, all she was doing was training in the woods. Cali didn't think that that action deserved a death sentence. "What are you doing out here?" He seemed rather demanding for an answer. She adjusted her grip on her sword, still ready to attack if the camper turns out to be a lunatic. Cali took her time with the answer, still eying him for any extra moments. She wondered why he even asked the question; it wasn't like it was unusual to be in the woods or anything. Still she steadied her breathing and looked at him straight in the eyes. "Shouldn't I be asking you the same thing?" California turned the tables on him, her eyebrows cocked. She took a step to the side, getting antsy. "The name's California, if you wish to know. Daughter of Zeus." Her voice rang with a leader-like trait that she didn't know she had. California was never one to be in charge, so it baffled her when she found out that Zeus children are usually good leaders.

As soon as she told me that she was the daughter of Zeus, a shiver ran down my spine. Zeus and Hades didn't really get along. Obviously because my Father was god of the underworld, and her father was lord of the sky. So there was a big difference between out fathers. Considering that my father is also not really liked in the underworld is..... you know..... not great since I am a child of the big three. I had no clue how me and her would get along, she didn't look like a threat though. I'm Nathan, son of Hades. I notified her. It basically explained why I was out here. It was dark, cold, and full of monsters, perfect for a child of Hades. Still not trusting her completly, I had a firm grip on the cold handle of my black sword. My sword glowed with ancient greek symbols. My fighting insticts were kicking in, I needed to fight something. I couldn't fight another camper though, everyone was to..... easy to beat. I noticed that she looked cautious to. So... daughter of Zeus. I began. That must be... fun I said sarcastically. I figured it must suck, considering everyone would be expecting you to do everything perfectly.

So the other camper, Nathan, as he introduced himself, was a son of Hades. California's blood went cold. His father and her father were pretty bad rivals so she wasn't sure how much of that would affect the Hades's son that stood in front of her, a firm grip on his sword. "So... daughter of Zeus." He started to her. California wasn't sure on how she was being addressed as. The brunette had never meant her father in the first place so she was confused on whenever or not she wanted to be associated with him. "That must be... fun." California laughed with no humor behind it. Of course, this camper knew what she was going through, maybe Nathan was going through it as well.
Though nobody ever voiced it, there seemed to be an added pressure for the children of the Big Three, almost like they have to live up to something. California had never said her thoughts to the others, it was just something she had kept to herself. "As much fun as you could think." She responded simply to him, her eyes sweeping the surrounding woods. "So dear cousin, are you planning to hurt me?" The daughter of Zeus asked the son of Hades, gesturing the black as night sword that he held with a death grip.
